On my way to work a couple days ago, I ended up behind this vehicle at a stoplight. My first thought was "Fail!" So I took a grainy photo with my handy camera phone.
Happy Saturday.

One hopes he's on his way to the tire shop after a roadside tire change...
I had an INVISIBL SPARE TIRE FAIL (if I may mix my lolcats and fails) on my truck. I had a tire leaking air, and for reasons I can't remember, I had the Walmart tire shop guys look at repairing it. The leak was too close to the sidewall, so I decided to take it to my regular tire shop to get a new pair, and asked them how much trouble it would be to just put the spare on for now.
Tire guy came back with an odd look, and said "Ma'am, I can do it, but I don't think it's legal." Huh? Turns out that when we bought the truck used, it came with an aftermarket spare tire. Of sorts: a studded snow tire.
When I took it to the tire shop, I had them put one of the old regular tires on that wheel, and the tire guy asked what I wanted to do with the spare. He was surprised when I said I didn't want it back. "But it's never been used!"
Aaaaand I'm going to do exactly *what* with a single snow tire, on a RWD light truck? (Besides some really impressive donuts, I guess.)
